Brandathon: Missionsake Recap

Happy New Year from Spire!

Each year around Christmas, Spire hosts a service event called a Brandathon, where students and professional designers band together for one day to complete a brand for a company in need that’s doing good in the world.

For the third consecutive year in a row, 13 + designers gave up their free time on a Saturday to rename and rebrand Missionary Fellowship - an organization that provides care and support to missionaries in Central America. The volunteers strategized, sketched, digitalized, refined, and produced a new name and identity for the newly dubbed “Missionsake”.

The client was floored by the amount of work that the attendees put into their new identity and were gifted design files at the end of the day. Missionsake now had an ownable mark that not only told their story, but also acted as a beacon of hope for missionaries serving God abroad.

God gives each person gifts and talents. And though some may be called to the missionary field or preaching, Spire believes that using one’s talents, such as design and creativity, is a way of fulfilling an ordained purpose. Each year the Brandathon is an immense success. This year continued in that tradition when God- loving creatives used their talents to witness. Spire cannot wait to see how this practice unfolds like in the years to come. Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Brandathon possible.
