Knoed

When you ask someone what they remember most about the windy city of Chicago, Illinois, many things come to mind. Cold winter mornings that freeze your eyebrows and turn your breath into a cloud of vapor, the smell of smoldering cheese and pepperoni from the local deep-dish pizza stop and pub, or maybe the way you see your elongated reflection shimmered across the infamous Cloud Gate sculpture in Millennium Park. All these things make the city of Chicago memorable, but one place that is often overlooked is the small design studio of Kim Knoll and Kyle Eertmoed – Knoed. Specializing mostly in creating meaningful brands for small businesses through identity, website, and print design, the studio has put out award winning work since its establishment in 2011 and continues to impress with a wide variety of projects. Knoed’s finger print can be seen on the walls of Hannah’s Bretzel restaurant and the face of Scorched Earth brewery’s Growlers. Their website and mobile work is just as impressive, ranging from X-Doria’s product website to the multiple award winning home site of Outpost General Store.
