On October 8th, Spire hosted Responding by Design – an event that discussed how to walk life as someone called to be a creative in a world that needs help. With over 100 attendees, the event represented individuals from 6 different colleges and over 30 companies! We learned a lot from our honorable panelists and how they have responded to their calling in the world of design. Brad Abare spoke on how he has made it a personal requirement to seek Christ in every project he is involved in. Tishia Que shared about how God has worked through her by providing careers for women rescued from sex trafficking and how creativity has saved them from poverty. Alex Lauderdale discussed his experience working with Gloo and how God lead him into a career with Google. We were blessed to hear how God is moving through each of these panelists’ lives and hope that those in attendance were inspired as much as we were!
In addition, we also announced our new mentorship program, Inspire, that will be launching as a six-month pilot program. We encourage you to take part as either a mentor or mentee to get a chance to grow in life with another – both spiritually and in your career. Take that step and apply today!
A huge thanks to all that were able to make it out to Responding by Design and we look forward to seeing you at the next event!
